livA spitex provides psychiatric and somatic care for everyone – with or without disabilities. We are two professionals in the health and social services sector who are deaf or hard of hearing ourselves. Stop by, get to know us and livA spitex better, and learn more about the issues that matter to us. We look forward to engaging in a dialogue with you. There’s room for everything here – your questions, your experiences, and your concerns.

Our services include psychiatric care, somatic care, family care, and social counseling. We also offer our services in Swiss German Sign Language (DSGS) and International Sign.‍

Afshin is a certified nurse (HF) specializing in psychiatry. Afshin grew up with a hearing impairment and brings years of professional expertise and practical experience in the field of mental health and healthcare.

Serafine Duss, Social Counselor and Managing Director of livA spitex  
Serafine Duss studied social work and has experience in social counseling for people with hearing impairments. She herself grew up with a hearing impairment and has been working as a social counselor and managing director since mid-2025.

An inclusive meet-up for everyone, especially people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and neurodivergence.

For this Crip roundtable, we’ll meet in the kHaus atelier, right in the heart of the festival center, but in a quiet, private space. The idea is to get together during the festival to talk about films we’ve already seen or are looking forward to, as well as any obstacles we’ve encountered on our way to the festival or whatever’s on our minds right now. As for the format of the get-together, we’ll start by reading a short excerpt on a Crip topic, and then we’ll decide together what we’d like to discuss. You are free to leave and re-enter the room at any time. However, we recommend arriving on time to get to know the other participants and the regulars’ meeting.

The regulars’ meeting will be conducted in spoken German with translation into Swiss German Sign Language (DSGS).

Exchange with experts from ZAK – Zurich Access Culture, a resource center for accessibility in the cultural sector.

Invited experts:

Noah Mundinger (no pronouns/they) works as an accessibility dramaturg for blind and visually impaired audience members.
Noa Winter (no pronouns) is a curator, dramaturg, and accessibility expert who combines anti-ableist practices, empowerment, and the aesthetics of access. 
Ramona Unterberg (she/her) is a Diversity Officer at Gessnerallee Zurich.
Moderation by Nina Mühlemann (no pronouns/all) Co-director of ZAK – Zurich Access Kultur, a resource center for accessibility in the cultural sector.

An open exchange with the filmmakers about their short films and accessibility in film.

This panel brings together filmmakers to discuss “Crip Filmmaking” – a term that emerged from the reappropriation of the word “cripple.” It refers to a form of filmmaking created by, with, and for people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and neurodivergence. At the same time, “Crip Filmmaking” challenges and expands existing notions, norms, and practices within the film industry.

The discussion will focus on different working methods, experiences, and perspectives, as well as on how we can challenge or rethink the prevailing norms and expectations of the film industry. The panelists will also offer insights into their own films and creative processes.

The focus will be on a shared exchange of ideas. Filmmakers will have the opportunity to respond to one another, share experiences, and bring together different perspectives.

The panel will be held in English and interpreted into DSGS (Swiss German Sign Language).
