Descriptive Subtitles

Traditional subtitles often do not meet the needs of people with hearing disabilities. For this reason, descriptive subtitles are supplemented with important information, such as noises that are not directly recognizable in the image. In this way, the course of action remains comprehensible even without sound. Older people, who would not describe themselves as hearing impaired even though they depend on hearing aids, also benefit from this. look&roll has been producing descriptive subtitles in German for their own festival contributions since 2006. Our descriptive subtitles are always produced in collaboration with people with hearing disabilities.
