LOOK&ROLL On the go
Latest

Even after the festival, look&roll remains present — and goes mobile: With look&roll on the go, we bring selected short films from the festival program to other cities in German-speaking Switzerland, abroad, remote regions and smaller institutions. This gives people access to our programs who would otherwise hardly have the opportunity to visit the festival locally., we bring selected short films from the festival program to other cities in German-speaking Switzerland, abroad, remote regions and smaller institutions. We are out and about in dormitories, schools, disability organizations, bookstores and many other institutions. Our events not only create special cinema experiences, but also encourage dialogue.

Numerous event partners and institutions use look&roll on the go to create barrier-free events together — and to offer film contributions a platform that respectfully and authentically depicts life with disabilities. In this way, the project actively contributes to bringing the topics of inclusion, disabilities, chronic diseases and neurodivergence into society in the long term.

Work and ableism

Panel and short film screening

How does work shape our identity and our idea of performance? What does accessibility mean in the workplace — physically, communicatively and culturally? How visible is ableism, discrimination against people with disabilities, in personnel policy and which institutional reforms are urgently needed? Which ableistic norms determine which bodies, behaviours and activities are considered capable of working — and how does this lead to exclusion?

Invited guests will discuss these and other questions at this entertaining event, which is presented by a curated selection of short films from the association look&roll is added — because it is high time to recognize diversity in the workplace and to value alternative forms of contribution and participation.

With: Prof. Sonja Hug (lecturer, Institute Soziale Arbeit und Gesundheit, FHNW) and Moritz Wyder (specialist, SEBE-Abklärungsstelle Kantonales Sozialamt).
