Ballet meant everything to American dancer Homer Avila. Even after he had had one leg amputated, he performed with great success. Choreographers, colleagues and the audience admired him. At the age of 49, he succumbed to a rare cancer that was detected and treated too late. The film bears witness to the struggle of an exceptional artist who faces his fate with passion and charisma.
