John Hull documented the process of his blindness and the initial period afterwards with texts that he spoke on tapes. The result was a unique testimony to his losses, fears and learning processes. When John's notes appeared in book form, neurologist Oliver Sacks wrote: “A masterpiece... the most unusual, precise, profound and beautiful description of blindness I've ever read.” This documentary provides a congenial translation into images.
