For Broadway performer Randi, the birth of her son was first a triumph, then a shock: When doctors discovered that Moses was born with a severe disability, Randi plunged into deep sorrow before she discovered a new language with which she could learn to love her son. Randi's story links family, queerness and disability with vulnerability. The documentary sheds light on the often invisible story of the caregiver, which can be accompanied by unspoken feelings of shame.
