In 1932, Linnea Carlsson suddenly disappeared from her family's farm. After several serious derailments, which were recently associated with threats of murder and suicide, she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. When she returns thirty years later, she is a completely different person. What had happened to her in the asylum? Her niece Johanna Bernhardson used her camera to search for clues in archives and with eyewitnesses. The result is this documentary about normality, haunting memories and “madness.”
